"A person who
sees a world without eyes is the only one who can tell the difference between a
truth and a lie, because he doesn't have
to rely on what the facts are and what he see. "
Said a blind man when I met him
at his repair shop
Ali lost his
eyesight in a accident 6 years ago. He used to repair electric item then and
now get them for his wife to repair, so that they can feed their two children. Though loosing eyes made him feel
miserable but he is now happy to have seen an another world in those dark
patches.
Every day he goes to his shop himself with just a stick
in his hand and some repaired stuff. People come to him pay for the repairs
and move on without even thinking how that man was breaking the odds needed to
live on this earth. They are all busy to do something or other and guess
what they don't even know for what are they doing this.
"Sometimes I
feel desolated and incomplete for being like this. It's really hard to imagine
what is going around you and to cope up with it. I am not afraid of anything but my own shadow, it's the only thing I cannot differentiate with those black skies around me.
Everyday when you close your eyes you know
already that a new day is ready to arrive in your life with freshness of
sunshine and those calm features of nature. What I can do is just feel those
shiny rays on my face and silent features of the beautiful world around me.
There is a good and
a bad becoming like me. The bad, I can't see what others can and the good, they can't see what I can and feel :) " That huge smile on his face drew me like mad
. Why was that so , I couldn't understand him. But then he said
If you want to see the world in another way
……….. just close your eyes.
I still can't figure
out what he wanted to say. Sometimes I stand near a road and close my eyes, listening to the strange voices and only one question arises in my mind at
that time which Ali asked me "DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE,
RIGHT NOW AT THIS PLACE AND THIS TIME STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF A SEA WHERE YOU
DON'T EVEN KNOW WHICH TIDE CAN TEAR YOU APART ."
